I agree I disagreeHistory is a life guide and teaches us not to forget our origins, which are deeply rooted in rural culture, as is the risk resulting from our entrapment in the frantic routine of our modern society. The Ecomuseum of Crosara is intended as an attentive and documented guardian of rural culture, but also as a meeting place, both materially and ideally, for different generations to come to know one another and to grow awareness for respectful and fruitful coexistence. In the exhibition rooms great attention is given to the main theme of the Ecomuseum, the straw processing technique in agriculture and in domestic craftsmanship that involved thousands of peasants who lived on the hills and in the mountain area of the Asiago Plateau from the 17th century to the first half of the 20th century. Two rooms are respectively dedicated to late cherries,
a characteristic product of Marostica, which is still produced nowadays, and to the processing of dairy products, once an important nourishment for the local community.
