Many events bring the historic center and the surrounding villages to life during the Christmas and New Year holidays, concluding with the celebration of the Epiphany.
From the 500-square-meter ice skating rink, which features a central Christmas tree and a mulled wine hut, to concerts, Sunday markets, exhibitions, games, and entertainment for children — the rich calendar of events offers something for everyone, of all ages and tastes.
The Municipality of Marostica, in collaboration with Confcommercio, Confartigianato, Pro Marostica, local associations, community groups, and many volunteers, works together to decorate every corner of the town and turn it into a true holiday destination. Highlights include the Christmas markets, Christmas Eve festivities, the Santa Claus parade, Christmas carols, a Christmas concert, and the much-anticipated fireworks show featuring the "burning" of the Lower Castle.
"Christmas with Us" in Marostica also celebrates the Epiphany with the return of the traditional “Rogo della Vecia” (burning of the old witch) and the arrival of the Befana, who brings gifts for children.

The last event is usually “Pignate in Pista”, a unique and humorous curling competition using pots filled with vegetable soup — a true cult event!
