In addition to the beautiful medieval village and the nature trails, Marostica also offers tourists wonderful opportunities to live other exciting experiences in the area.
The integrated apiary was inaugurated in the hamlet of San Luca in spring 2017. The first created in Italy, it is the result of ideas shared and a synergy of skills between a family of beekeepers / carpenters and the Italian Association of Bee Therapy, with the initial purpose of creating a facility with specific characteristics, capable of benefiting from the air of the hives.
The treatment consisting in the use of bee scent and listening to the buzzing of the bees is very helpful to keep a state of psycho-physical well-being and to achieve a calming rebalance or to meditate in total relaxation, immersed in the scent of the hive in fully safe conditions.
The activity is developing and has already paved the way for opportunities such as Bee Education which immediately generated considerable interest: the apiary has attracted school groups, families, groups of friends who have visited it to satisfy their curiosity to understand more about it. They lived interesting experiences to relax and, what is more important, to understand that the fantastic world of bees is now accessible to everyone, no one excluded, and in total safety.
Autochthonous plants and shrubs have been planted around the apiary, trying to develop a "botanical garden for bees" where medicinal plants grow together with honey plants in order to grant biodiversity in all the seasons and to always have constant and convenient blooms, without using chemical products.
